Direct Thermal Labels

Direct thermal labels are used in short-term labeling applications where the label does not get exposed to excessive heat, handling or UV.  They are printed using either a direct thermal or thermal transfer printer that is set for direct thermal mode.  Most thermal transfer printers have a direct thermal print mode setting and can be used for either thermal transfer or direct thermal labels..  Unlike thermal transfer labels, direct thermal labels do not require a thermal transfer ribbon for printing.
